Yorkville Full Apartment Renovation

80 East End Avenue, NYC, NY

Before & After

We’ve heard many kinds of renovation horror stories, and this project might top all. Prior to Chapter, the clients had been working with a different contractor on their renovation. Unfortunately, just as they were nearing completion, an incident occurred during the floor refinishing process, where a flammable product was used, resulting in a devastating fire that damaged the entire apartment.

The challenge for Chapter wasn’t just rebuilding a burnt-down apartment but also rebuilding the trust of our clients in people handling their renovation. However, over time, they have gradually regained confidence in our team in every stage of the renovation we successfully accomplished.

The apartment, a corner unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, was left essentially as a blank canvas after the fire. We have since completely renovated the space, including the bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, and painting.

Katia, our designated interior designer for this project, worked closely with the clients to refine and enhance their original design, ultimately creating the apartment the client had always envisioned

We completed a full gut renovation, featuring lifetime warranty cabinets from Cubitac. The bar area was given a custom color and enhanced with sleek glass detailing for added flair. We installed engineered hardwood floors with planks. New dropped ceilings and light distribution. New AC units and AC and radiator covers.

We executed a full gut renovation for both bathrooms, upgrading them with smart toilets for a touch of modern luxury. For the tiling, we used trims to create seamless joints in the corners, giving the entire look a clean, polished finish. To provide a variety of designs, we thought of using green bold tiles for the shower area of the master bathroom which is in contrast to the simpler more mute color of tile of the other bathroom

This successful renovation not only replaced the painful memory of the previously burnt space but also helped rebuild trust. By ensuring exceptional work and clear communication throughout every stage of the renovation, we turned a difficult chapter into a beautiful new beginning for our clients. We're proud to have made that transformation possible.
