Space Capture

Space Capture is what feeds the Renotech™ AI estimator. The more detail you give us — a Polycam Spatial Report, a narrated video, and clear photos — all three are required for your estimate and scope will be.

Three things feed your estimate.

All three are required to generate your estimate: a Spatial Report made in the free Polycam app, a narrated video walkthrough, and detailed photos. Most homeowners finish in about twenty minutes.

Spatial Report

Scan your home with Polycam

Download the free Polycam app and generate a Spatial Report — Polycam's measured floor-plan PDF with dimensions, wall area, perimeter, and volume for every room. Then upload that PDF here. Polycam uses your phone's camera (and LiDAR on newer iPhones / iPads).

“This is the kitchen — I want to gut renovate...”

Phone held at chest height, walking slowly through each room.

Video Walkthrough

Narrate your renovation, room by room

Open your phone camera in video mode and walk through your home explaining what you want done — recorded in one continuous take, start to finish. The AI transcribes your narration and pairs it with your Spatial Report.

One take. Speak clearly. Describe the work in detail.

Specifics turn into line items. Mention materials, demo, and scope.

Hold steady

Phone at chest height, walk slowly.

Talk the whole time

Silence creates missing data.

Turn on lights

Use bright, even lighting.

Name each room

Anchor your transcript by room.

Walls to remove or add
Floors — material, condition, replace?
Cabinetry, vanity, built-ins
Plumbing fixtures — keep or replace
Electrical — outlets, lighting, switches
Appliances staying or being replaced
Windows and doors
Paint, tile, finishes

03

Photos

Photograph every surface and fixture

Photos fill in what the video misses — close-ups of materials, conditions, model numbers, existing damage, and fixture details.

Wide shots first

Stand in each corner and shoot toward the opposite corner.

Good light

Daylight is best. Turn on lights. Avoid flash.

Close-ups of materials

Tile, grout, countertops, cabinet finish, flooring.

Capture problems

Cracks, water damage, mold, and loose tiles.

Photo checklist per room

Four corner-to-corner wide shots
Ceiling and floor straight-on
Every appliance — front + model label
Plumbing fixtures and shutoffs
Electrical panel and outlets
Windows — inside and outside view
Cabinet interiors (open the doors)
Any damage or existing repairs

Upload photos

JPG, PNG, HEIC · select multiple

15–30 photos per room. Wide shots, close-ups, problem areas, model labels.

Next steps

To unlock your estimate, add: Spatial Report · video walkthrough · photos. All three inputs are required.
